Mapy grew up in Paris. Influenced by Hip-Hop, Soul, Reggae and Rock Culture, at the young age
of 6 she began taking violin lessons at the Conservatory, where teachers quickly discovered she
had a perfect ear. It was no surprise that Mapy immediately became the leader of the First Violin
section in the Symphony Orchestra at her school. After attending the school as 1st chair for 10
years, she was brilliantly graduated and became a violin teacher
Kylie Minogue (Grammy Award, MTV Music Award and Workd Music Award Winning) , Josh Groban
(Grammy Award, Billboard Music Award, World Music Award Winning), Indila (Trace Urban Music
Award, MTV Europe Music Award winning)… are just a few of the artists Mapy has performed
both national and international with.
Mapy has also done a myriad of live performances such as The Voice on TF1, Star Academy on
TF1, Trace Urban Music Awards, Le Grand Show on France 2, Vivement Dimanche, Trabendo
In 2013 she joined Airplay Musical Group and performed at luxury events, including Paris
Fashion Week, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, LVMH Group, Plaza Athénée, Prince de Galles and many
more. She contributed in creating Cordplay, a Hip-Hop & Pop violinists quartet performing with a
DJ all over Europe.
In 2014, Mapy started her career as a solo Hip-Hop, Dancehall & Soca violinist. She performed
in prestigious concert halls as Le Bataclan in Paris, Pavillon Baltard, Pavillon Champs- Elysées…
She’s called to rock the stage all around the world : Europe, Caribbean Islands, Guyana, New
Caledonia, Morocco etc. She’s called by Blaise Matuidi to perform at PSG Event (Paris Soccer
team), also for Heineken Group, Orange Telecom…
Mapy is extremely excited and has been working extremely hard on her debut album rumoured
to be released in 2017.
